Obstetric Intensive Care Symposium

23rd - 24th February 2018

The OICS Organising Committee is excited to welcome you to join us for the Obstetric Intensive Care Symposium in February 2018.

In 2015 the one-day Obstetric Intensive Care Symposium covered a wide range of contemporary topics on the high-risk Obstetric patient. The high quality programme delivered by Internationally recognized speakers from Anaesthesia, Critical Care, Obstetrics, Midwifery and Nursing was overwhelmingly well received by the attendees. Following the success of the 2016 symposium, we have decided to continue the programme for the Symposium in 2018 with fresh look at the challenging topics and to spread out over 2 days, and to continue overwhelmingly popular optional breakfast workshops.

The OICS 2018 promises to present a fantastic mix of lectures and round table discussions with International and National experts. The Symposium will include a range of practical workshops including emergency Obstetric Ultrasound, Management of the difficult Obstetric airway, Obstetric Critical Care Simulation, surgical and non-surgical management of severe PPH. It will be of vital interest to Intensive Care Specialists, Obstetricians, Obstetric Trainers, Anaesthetists, Emergency Physicians, ICU Trainees, GPs caring for Obstetric patients, Intensive Care Nurses, Nurses, Midwives and Paramedics who may look after critically ill Obstetric patients. The venue and scientific program are to be announced shortly. Please mark the dates in your calendar and stay tuned to the news by subscribing to the newsletter below.

The goal of the Symposium is two-fold, to create a forum whereby the clinical teams currently involved in the care of the Critically Ill Obstetric patient can meet and share experiences and, to foster a collaborative effort to promote education and research in this select population of patients.
